Do you have tri.be’s events calendar for wordpress? Do you have the community edition, and would like to add a “maps” checkbox item to your advanced widget. Well with a few easy steps you can do this and get something like this:

tribe-events-calendar-add-map

Or like this in the backend:

tribe-wordpress-maps-backend

Well luckily for you this can be recreated pretty easily.

Step 1 – Adding Map to Tri.be Events Calendar Advanced Widget: Copy the File

Go to /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/
In this directory copy events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php
Make a directory in your theme called events and copy this file to /wp-content/your-theme/events/

Step 2 – Adding Map to Tri.be Events Calendar Advanced Widget: Edit the widget file

Find the location that you would like to edit, or place the map and add the following code. I personally place it right before the “when” class.

';
if( tribe_address_exists( get_the_ID() ) ) {
if (tribe_get_embedded_map(get_the_ID())) {
echo tribe_get_embedded_map(get_the_ID(), '350px', '100px');
}
}
echo '

';
}
?>

Step 3 – Adding Map to Tri.be Events Calendar Advanced Widget: Edit the admin view

Go to this directory /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/admin-views/
Find and edit widget-admin-advnaced-list.php

Find the this line of code.

"cost" => __("Price", 'tribe-events-calendar-pro'),

Below it add this line.

"map" => __("Map", 'tribe-events-calendar-pro'),

Now it should be working! Yay, that was easy, three simple steps!
